Amenity Areas & Open Spaces (Councillor Steady) Brightlingsea is fortunate in having many open public spaces and amenity areas; The Town Council  are looking to upgrade existing areas and where possible to create new ones thereby providing “green lung areas” for all to enjoy. The Bayard and the Lower Park Recreation grounds cater for various organisations covering a wide age group. Amenity Areas & Open Spaces – September 2016

Recreation Ground Improvements have been completed at Pawson’s playground and a similar refurbishment is taking place on the recreation ground. A new fully accessible roundabout has been installed and a zip wire and play cave are scheduled for installation in the near future. Meetings are to be held shortly to look at the development of the changing rooms and pavilion during 2017 to accommodate female teams and officials when necessary.

April 2016 – Amenity Areas

AMENITY AREAS. Shower upgrading has taken place in the rec pavilion and is working well. There has been a transfer of top soil to the Western Promenade site to level the area and provide a training facility for sports clubs in the town.
