Footpaths & Open Spaces In the process of walking the footpaths to explore the possibility of supplying hides and rest areas. Allotments All the allotment invoices have been sent out and the majority of holders have paid.  There are currently three plots to give out, offers/appointments should be this week.

Footpaths & Open Spaces   Met with Roy Read of Natural England for an update on the Coastal Footpath. Footpaths & Open Spaces Due to the high volumes of rain experienced recently, footpaths around the town have become overgrown. The permissive path which was given by Brett Aggregates, which runs through the long plantation at Moverons, has been cleared after we made a request to Brett Aggregates, who were only too happy to work with us. Footpaths & Open Spaces Roy Read from Natural England had requested a meeting to discuss the coastal footpath, where the town council owns the land. Date and time to be arranged. Allotments There are currently 21 people on the waiting list, 13 are current, 8 of these do not wish to be allocated yet due to various reasons. We have 3 offers in the pipeline, then once these are filled, the allotments are allocated. Footpaths & Open Spaces Report from Footpath meeting held on 18th March 2016:- “A Footpath Meeting was held on Friday 18th March 2016, led by Councillor Graham Steady, Terry Hamilton, the Council’s Grounds Manager, and Roy Read from Natural England Councillor Steady reported:- The meting was attended by 53 residents; various questions were asked and answered on the night. Footpaths A meeting is being held on Friday 18th March at 7pm at the Parish Hall regarding footpaths in the town. Mr Roy Read of Natural England will also be in attendance, to answer questions on the proposed coastal footpath around the UK. The 1st cut is complete, and the 2nd cut is in discussion – this is likely to be done by the end of October. We only undertake rural cuts in Tendring and all urban cuts are done by the local council.
